Charles Vincent George Architects
Announces New Partners
Naperville, IL—Bruce George, CEO of Charles Vincent George Architects has announced the promotion of Jason Dutkovich and Jeffrey Lietz to equity partners in the firm, which is celebrating 60 years in business this year. George thinks this moment seems the perfect time to prepare the firm for the next generation of architects.
“I have the utmost confidence in Jason and Jeff, and this momentous time in our firm’s history seems the perfect time to expand the leadership of the firm we have spent so much of our careers building as a shared legacy,” he says. “Their taking this larger role allows me more time to work on the client projects I so enjoy while continuing to lead the overall direction of the firm and ensure a smooth transition in future. So many second-generation firms fail. The thought that I can pass on the torch that my father gave me to another generation is deeply gratifying.”
Jason Dutkovich has worked in the profession since 2005 and most recently served as Senior Project Manager for Charles Vincent George Architects. He has extensive experience with many commercial sectors including public facilities, corporate office, retail centers, banking institutions, automotive, financial and medical facilities. As a Managing Principal, Dutkovich maintains his responsibility for the production and coordination of construction documents and construction phase services while taking on more of the operational leadership in the company. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology and is an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects.
“I think most young architects dream of eventually becoming partner or starting their own firm. This opportunity to continue to follow my passion and help the next generation of architects shape the future of CVG is exciting and humbling,” says Dutkovich. “ I look forward to helping each member of the CVG team accomplish their personal goals as an architect. I have benefitted from that commitment throughout my career at CVG and look forward to carrying forward the knowledge and support I received. The lasting friendships with colleagues, consultants and clients has been among the most gratifying parts of my work here and I look forward to more of the same in this new role.”
“Jason is extremely detail-oriented and understands all the technological and financial aspects of our business very well, says George. “He is sensitive to all the overall operational details that ensure our business will be successful going forward.”
Jeff Lietz joined Charles Vincent George upon receiving his Bachelor of Arts from Northern Illinois University in 1996. Most recently he served as Vice President - Commercial Architecture, LEED, AP - As Vice President of Commercial Architecture, Lietz is responsible for the Commercial Division of the firm. His responsibilities range from client relation development, project design and coordination, and construction contract administration.
As a Managing Principal, Lietz is responsible for the Commercial Division of the firm. His responsibility includes client relations, coordination and production of construction documents, specification writing and construction phase services. He has a wide range of experience including construction management for the Naperville Riverwalk, project management for numerous banking facilities, Park District projects and many other project types. He is LEED Accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council. Lietz serves on the Board of the Naperville YMCAs and as a Trustee and Building Committee Chair for Woodridge United Methodist Church.
“I started my career at CVG 25 years ago. The firm has only had two owners in 60 years. For Bruce to trust Jason and me to lead the firm his father started is truly an honor,” says Lietz. “My goal is to build upon the values and culture firmly established within our firm. CVG is filled with opportunities to expand our knowledge of Architecture by experiencing challenges and successes together as a firm. I want to learn something new each day and share that knowledge. The majority of our clients are repeat client due to our ability to listen, learn, design and exceed expectations. My contribution to CVG’s future will be to make sure we build upon these values.”
“Jeff has developed an unparalleled approach to customer service by being an advocate of his clients through every phase of the project,” George says. “His ability to deliver aesthetic design solutions on-time and within budget sets him apart from most professionals.
